Events

An Event is a collection of Assets and Asset Blocks scheduled to play in a given time frame. An Event can be a single item or many items depending on how the event is to be used.

Events are intended to be layered to create a dynamic playlist. Events can also affect one or more screens or screen layouts.

While in the schedule view, click on an event to view and modify the event details.

To create a new event, navigate to the Calendar page and click the Create Event button

info

New events are unpublished by default and must be published in order to end up in the generated playlist.

note

When multiple events of non-Loop occurrence type (Percent Share, Play Count, Play At, Filler) are programmed in the same time-frame, they will be used together to generate the playlist.

note

When events of occurrence type Loop are programmed in the same time-frame, the Loop event that has the most recent start time will be used exclusively. If the loop events have the same start time, the loop event with the oldest created at time will be used. Loop events that are superseded by another loop event will appear greyed out.

When creating an event, there will be one sequence automatically added to the event. Each sequence represents one screen. To add additional sequence, click + button.

Filler

SVR will pull assets from this type of event to fill any empty slots in the playlist.

Loop

SVR will play only the assets in the event, immediately, and in the order listed, until the end of the event. (Similar to Quick Play.)

Shuffle Sequences: Shuffle the items in the sequence so they appear in a random order in the playlist.

Rotate Asset Blocks: Rotate through assets in order for each asset block, such that one asset appears every time an asset block is scheduled in the loop.
